Hi everyone. Just thought I’d let you know that sheet masks are no longer a niche beauty product limited to those of us in the know or already in love with Korean Beauty. In fact, they are now officially such a necessary and beloved staple in our beauty routine that awesome airlines, like my favourite, Japan Airlines, now provide them in their first class amenity kit! The one for ladies, anyway (even though, might I say, sheet masks are just as great and useful for the guys, though a clean shave certainly helps with mask adherence).
Holy smokes, how did I not know about this before! We recently visited Japan on an awesome research trip. Yes, it was amazing. Yes, I am hoping that the fruits of that trip will mean we should have some awesome new products in our shop some time soon (stay tuned). This trip we burned some Qantas frequent flyer points to again fly home from Tokyo in style – on Japan Airlines first class. Now, I loved Japan Airlines already. But can you even imagine how excited I was to be presented with a sheet mask as part of their first class amenity kit!? Did they know exactly what to give me to make my flight, or what! Squeeee! And let me tell you, this wasn’t any old sheet mask. It was a Cle De Peau sheet mask. One that retails for over $250 for a set of six. Woohee – that’s a $40+ sheet mask there people. Now, I am *probably* never going to sell (or buy) a $40 sheet mask, but boy do Japan Airlines know what is possibly the BIGGEST skin saver on a plane. Dear Japan Airlines, have I mentioned that I love you yet? And guess what, I haven’t actually used the sheet mask yet. By the time I opened the amenity kit I was more than half a bottle into the champagne and, for reals, there is no way I’m using a $40 sheet mask half-cut. Besides, I had a (quite possibly) equally fabulous sheet mask on hand for the flight already – the oh so lovely April Skin Ginseng Mask. A skin saver, my friends. You truly feel first class (even if you’re in cattle) when you walk off a redeye flight with better skin than when you got on. When I get up the courage I’m looking forward to trying a super expensive mask (I *should* probably save it for a special occasion), but until then I think the moral of the story is, sheet mask at every opportunity! Oh, and that Japan Airlines knows what they’re doing. Bye for now. Jess Ooh and FYI, here’s the equally awesome sheet masks of choice for my flight on the way over.

Hi Sky! Glad you like it :) The Heimish cleanser is my fave oil cleansing balm. I'm pretty new here and hoping to bring the joys of sheet masks to Aussies everywhere - but as you can see I also couldn't resist sharing my favourite asian beauty cleansing and toning products! Hopefully the 'other things I love and think you will too!' section will grow over time! I'd particularly love to include some exfoliators and sunscreens when finances permit. FYI: I am also hoping to expand the sheet mask range soon to include a few japanese and taiwanese masks for those curious to try them! J x
